Movie Favourites!

Hi everyone!

So my music favourites went really well so I thought I would continue this trend and do my 15 top movies and films (I watch heaps so 10 wasn't enough). These are in no particular order

1. Mr. Nobody
This was one of the best films I ever watched and is sort of like Inception in a way. It is a Science-Drama Film that debuted in the 66th International Venice Film Festival where it won Golden Osella, which is really cool! It stars Jared Leto as the main character Nemo Nobody and if you like Alternative/Indie films this is definately one to watch!

 2. The Little Mermaid
So according to some of my family members I used to dress and be obsessed with Ariel and I still really love the movie today! It is a Disney classic and even though I love all Disney Classics I will put in the films I love the most! I love Sebastian!

3. Harry Potter Series
I cannot divide these apart at all and love each and everyone one of them just as much as the last! I grew up watching Harry Potter so to me it is definately a movie and do and will love for awhile! I also love this series so much I took the dignity of watching and learning word by word the Very Potter Musicals by Starkid!

4. Aladdin
Omg! I love Aladdin so much and is probably one of my favourite childhood movies! I named my kitten Jasmine in tribute to it! I remember as a child playing on our rug and pretending it was a magic carpet like Aladdin's!

5. Lord Of The Rings
As a New Zealander it may seem stereotypical that I like this series but it is honestly such a good production, Peter Jackson is actually one of my favourite movie directors. I love the plot line and characters in these film also the art and buildings its got in it (I have been to the gates of Hobbiton but never inside :((( ).

6. Avatar
Avatar is probably my favourite film,art wise, it is just spectacular, like its amazing! I love the whole story of it but I don't understand why are making more of them, because personally I think it ended really well. James Cameron is also just and amazing director and has done so many amazing films already! I am actually quite happy about there being more but personally don't think they need it.

7. Finding Nemo
So I love this movie so much and think it is absolutely adorable! I love the idea and plot of this movie and love that it is a Pixar Production! I am slightly concerned as to why there is going to be a second but it doesn't make me any less excited!

8. Breakfast Club
So this is probably one of my favourite films ever! It is just plain awesome and I could watch it over and over and over again and never get bored. I don't actually know how or why I watched this in the first place and I actually hated it at first but now I have no idea why but I love it heaps!

9. Requiem For A Dream 
I was recommended this movie by one of my friends and I was told it was graphic but awesome. And it was. This also stars Jared Leto *Yay!* and its about a group of drug addicts/dealers and the risks and complications of love, addiction and recovery. It R18 but I watched it at 15 and found it really graphic but it was such an amazing plot line and story.

10. Moulin Rouge! 
This is probably my favourite musical at the moment, it is so awesome! I watched this a few months ago now and absolutely fell in love with it to the point that I have now watched the original broadway show (or parts of it), the 50's film and the 2001 remake, all of which were so good!

11. Mean Girls
This comedy is probably one of the funniest things I have ever watched in my life and was absolutely brilliant! The quotes, acting and characters in this movie are amazing and I felt I have had so much insight after watching it :P Karen is just awesome!

12. Stay Alive
This is one of the best horror films I have ever watched and I found it had both psychological and jump scares which is exactly what I wanted out of a horror movie. Anyway it is about a video game where once you begin you can not finish until the game is finished and if you get killed in thegame that is how you'll die in real life.

13. Chicago
This is such and good musical and as one of the weirdest plot lines, for a musical itself but is really really awesome! I really liked this musical and was actually one of the first I had watched!

14. Madagascar
This is probably one of the funniest children's movies I have ever seen and actually has some really really funny adult humour within it, especially from King Julian. I love the art, the characters and just this movie overall.

15. Rocky Horror Picture Show
This is such and awesome musical and is weird and unexpected, which is intriguing and awesome! I have only seen this a few times but those times I have have been awesome. The songs are catchy, the characters creepy but brilliant and the plot line is confusing but intriguing. Overall this musical is amazing!

Review Of My Holiday!

So if you didn't know I have been on school break for the past two weeks and went back to school today (which sucked but anyway) so I thought I would share with you what I have done during that time. Places I went, new food, new clothes etc...

So....

Food!

1.I love starbucks so any chance I get to go there I will! So I decided to get a Double Chocolate Frappe with Soy milk and it was delicious, everyone should definately try them! It cost me $7.50 for a Grande sized one! So it was a bit expensive but worth it.

2. Hulu Cat Tea House! This is probably one of the cutest places I have ever been and it was cheap and so yum! Its one size but probably about 750mls for $5 and $1 for topping like pearls, puddlings, jelly etc. I have tried now a grapefruit green tea, a mango green tea and a strawberry black tea. If you live in Auckland or ever come here and like Tea definately try it!

3. Nandos! I finally went to Nandos and was defiantely worth the money and my expectations were reached. I spent $14.90 and got a quarter chicken and chips which was heaps, as they have really big portion sizes. The sauces are really awesome too!

Places!

1. Whitianga! I go to Whitianga on the Coromandel peninsula a few times a year to visit my nan who lives down there. It was beautiful there this time and the weather was sunny and awesome! Which was good for he middle of winter. I would definately recommend going there if you haven't its really small but its such a awesome small town! Also the cave where the family off Narnia 2 come out of at the beginning of the film is a 10 minute boat ride from the main wharf!

2. Whiti Farm Park! this was most likely the cutest place I had ever been, animal wise. It had both common and exotic farm animals and I made friends with an Australian Cockatoo named Smiley! I fed heaps of new animals like Wallabies, Turkeys, Possums, a Llama, Alpacas and even an emu and ostrich!

3. I went to Hot Water Beach for the first time in years and it was so cool! My cousin and I dug a hole and were just getting to the warmth when a big wave came and ruined it and filled it with cold water :L

Clothes!

1. Star Wars T-Shirt: When I went into Central Auckland (Town) we went to Paper Bag Princess on K Road and it was one of the best Op-Shops I have ever been in. I found this really cute Star Wars Tee with 9 of the characters as cartoons on it!

2. Super Bang Bario T-Shirt: I also got this from Paper Bag Princess and its a parody Tee with Bario on it which is pretty cute! I got this and the Star Wars T-Shirt for $8!

3. I went into Valley Girl with my sister and they were having a huge sale and I got an over-sized knitted jumper! It was only $10 and is so warm and comfy!

My Music Favourites!

Ok, so several times I have said I really love music so I decided I would share with you guys my favourite bands, singers and groups! I will do my top 10!
This is in no particular order and are some of my more recent favourites and groups I have loved for a longer period of time!

1. Imagine Dragons
So I discovered this band about May last year after I heard "Its Time" on a YouTube video and I fell in love with the band. I really love alternative and Indie Rock/Pop so this band became I favourite quite quickly. "Radioactive" is definately my favourite song by them!

2. Walk The Moon
This is a very recent favourite of mine andin the last few months I have grown to absolutely love their music! "Anna Sun" is most likely my favourite song but their whole album is pretty awesome and really unique. They are an alternative pop-rock band.

3. Keane
I have LOVED Keane for ages now they are so awesome! I was also very pleased when "Somewhere Only We Know" became the theme song for the 2012 Winnie the Pooh movies (that songs my favourite from them).These alike the others are an alternative rock group!

4. Fall Out Boy
So I have loved this band since I was around 10, so for about 6 years now and over those years none of that love has changed. I have so many songs I enjoy from this band but "Grand Theft Autumn" or "Alpha Dog" are probably the top of my list. If for some strange reason you don't know Fall Out Boy look them up!

 5. Panic at the Disco!
This is another band I have loved for years! Brendan Urie's voice is just beautiful. I have so many songs I love from this band but "Lying" and "New Perspective" are probably some of my faves!

6.Ed Sheeran
I discovered him late 2011, early 2012 and at first I didn't actually like him but eventually I grew to love him and am now a proud Sheerio. I definately don't have a favourite song from him but on his EP's "Homeless" is my fave and on his album "UNI" is probably one of the tops.

7. Of Monsters and Men
This is a band I discovered in the summer so about 6 months ago now, and I really love their music! Their music is sort of country crossed with alternative pop, its pretty cool!
My favourite song from them is probably "Little Talks"

8. The Lumineers
Another band discovered in winter, I have grown to absolutely love them! My favourite song is probably "Ho Hey", which is a bit boring coz they have so many other good songs but you cant beat the classic. They are an alternative pop/country band I guess:L

9. The Cranberries/Lincoln Park
These are super old bands compared to the others but I really love their music! My dad actually introduced me to these bands as a child so I grew up listening to them which is pretty cool. Lincoln Park is a heavy rock band I guess and The Cranberries are an alternative rock band. "Numb" is my favourite Lincoln Park song and "Zombie" is my favourite by the Cranberries.

10. 30 Seconds To Mars
This is probably my favourite band and has been for a while now. I became apart of Echelon about 2 years ago now and experience VyRT and everything whenever I can! I do not have a favourite song by them and find that most of them relate in a different way to me. I find the band really inspiring and would love to be able to experience them live or meet them, it would be amazing!

Day At Whiti Farm!

So yesturday (21st July) my nan treated my two younger cousins, Ryan, 12, and Dylan, 6, to an afternoon at this really awesome farm attraction! Its name Whiti Farm Park and it was the home to many different both common and exotic farm animals!

As we entered we were greeted by a little sheep dog named Treacle and two tiny little poodles! They were beautiful and as we stepped into the main office we found a grey parrot, a bearded dragon, 6 red eyed turtles, a Mexican walking fish, a tiny baby bunny and obviously the farm keeper!

So my goals at this park were to feed a llama and an alpaca which I achieved as I stepped through the door to the farm. Here I also feed a little wallaby, a goat and even a fallow deer that I nicknamed Bambi :3 Also a really awesome thing I achieved was feeding 3 emus and 2 ostriches which was really weird and a lot gentler than I thought (their feathers are also very soft). I cuddled with some La Perm kitties (which are pure breed cats that look like curly-furred rag doll cats). We were also guided around the park with a boarder collie named Storm who was super adorable and stayed with us even though there were other families at the park.

However, the best part of this trip was meeting the Australian White and Yellow cockatoo named Smiley, who I have claimed as my pet away from home, he was awesome! Cockatoos are my favourite birds and that is the closest encounter I have ever had with one and he was so beautiful :3 So I met him while he was stuck in a tree and some people were trying to get him to come down, eventually he got a bit afraid and sort of flew or stumbled out of the tree and onto a chair. From here I went up to him and started talking to him and after about a half hour or so he decided to go onto my arm!

All in all that day was super awesome and I achieved many things I hadn't before! I highly recommend that if you're ever in the Coromandel  area or headed that way to definately go there!

Things Of The (Last) Week! #2

I am back with my second set of 'Things Of The Week' so here I go....
This week was the 15th of July to the 21st of July!

Food of the Week: Omfg this week I tired so much good food but the best of the week was probably having Nandos for the first time (I had a Mild/Medium Quarter chicken with chips, TRY IT!!!!) and then this chicken my grandma cooked on Tuesday night that was awesome!
Drink of the Week: Definitely Hulu Cat Tea House! If you live in Auckland go try it, if you like Tea its awesome! I had a Grapefruit Green Iced Tea and tried some of my friends (Cici's) Honey, Lemon and Aloe one! My Soy Double Choc Frappe was definately a good second!
Moment of the Week: Going into Central Auckland with the friends! Emma and Nigya from (Two Broke Teens) and also Cici and Noriko! It was awesome!
Great of the Week: I got a Star Wars shirt and a Super Mario shirt while Op-Shopping!
Bad of the Week: Not having internet to update for agessss!
Quote of the week: Um... "Recreate others ideas to create your own unique ideas"
Song of the Week: You Get What You Give-New Radicals!

I've Been A Bit Busy....

Haii there everyone!

I'm so super sorry about my lack of updates after saying I was going to because of the holidays and whatnot but anyway I have actually been very busy.

So In the past week I have done heaps and from last, last Saturday to the Wednesday morning I didn't have any phone or internet access because of my location and when I got home it was being so annoying and keep cutting out that I didn't actually have any time to update. So I am very sorry

I have gained internet access back so her I am with a hopeful update after this one and one for the rest of the week!

Week 1! (July 8 to July 12)

Food of the week: Umm, An egg-less lemon choc chip muffin that Nigya had during History period on Friday! That was great! She said she was putting up the recipe on her blog twobroketeens.blogspot.co.nz
Moment of the week: Omg, this doesn't sound exciting at all,but I have a really unsocial cat named Crackle and he doesn't really like human affection so one day before school, I think Wednesday, he walked straight into my lounge and sat right on my lap! It was a beautiful time
Great of the week: I passed my History with Merit! I wasn't expecting it!
Bad of the week: I found out I have both a bladder and skin infection and also am suffering from dehydration. Yay!
Quote of the week: I don't have one but while reading I discovered a new pick up line! "Some call me Moya. But you can call me tonight ;)"
Song of the week: I hate Miley Cyrus SO much and yet I have had 'We Can't Stop' in my head ALL week. La Da Di La Di We Like To Party....

I Look Like....Tag

So this is a random tag that I found, that explains what I look like! I've posted some pictures but obviously I do look different and some features are more prominent in real life.

Eye colour: Heterochromic Green. (I have a melanin lack in my body so my eyes are brown, green and grey in different areas)(One is also greener and one is browner) They are not hazel.
Skin Colour: Pale, with an olive tint to it.
Height: I am 167cm I think I am just or just below 5'6"
Hair type: Curly. Very very curly.
Hair Colour: Naturally black, but at the moment it is browny ginger, its very ugly :L
Freckles: Some but not too prominent.
Tan or Burn: Burn!
Body Type: Curvy.
Clothing Size: It varies to what I am wearing but I can go from 10 to 14, but I comfortably wear size 12ish.
Shoe size: Ok so this is a awkward question. I have very wide,very little feet, however most shoes are made for slim feet. So because of this I wear about a size 6 or 7 for slim styled shoes and about size 5 for wide set shoes!
Dimples: Nope.
Nails painted or not:  Usually not, but occasionally when I can be bothered to I will.

Is Anyone Out There....?

Hi there everyone!
How are yah?

Anyway, this is a super awkward thing to be asking but recently my page views have been rocketing so, if anyone is out there looking at my blog, whether it is your first, second or even tenth time on my blog can someone please leave me a comment of recognition?

Just Another Questionnaire

Hi there everyone! How are yah? Anyway all these tags and questionnaire posts seem to be going very well so heres another for yous!

Are you fussy? I would say no.
Do you have any phobias? A couple. Ornithophobia, Coulrophobia and Moronophobia are the main ones for myself. :L
What drives you the most? This question confuses me...
Truth or dare? Ohhh depends...
What freaks you out? Birds!
Do you suffer from OCD? I think I may have very slight OCD but I wouldn't classify myself as having it.
What is your machine? What?
Are you kleptomaniac? Not that I know of.
One piece of clothing you can't live without? Do shoes count? If not jeans! 
What do you do for fun? Many different things. Drawing, watching films,listening to music etc.
Do you have tattoos or piercings? I have ear piercings but I want more and I don't have tattoos but I do want to get some.
Your biggest lesson so far? I don't know,probably self-acceptance for me personally
Are you funny? What’s the funniest thing you have done so far?I would consider myself funny. I LOVE puns and seem to be a very good creator of them.
What are the most important three things in your life? Family. Friends. Happiness
What was the worst lie that you told your parents? Were you ever caught? I don't know :L
Are you a morning person or a night person?Depends if I wake myself up I am a morning person but it depends on when I went to sleep etc.
When was the last time you lied? This morning,to my kitty. I said I'd feed it and I didn't #Rebel
If you find that your best friend is cheating on his girlfriend, what would you do? I don't know I would probably not know until I was actually in that situation.
What was the most dangerous or most challenging thing that you have ever done? No idea,but personally I'm not to much of a risk taker. 
Who should be the dominating person in a relationship- the guy or the girl? Why? I think it depends on the relationship, I mean either can be it depends on the persons nature.
What is your opinion on open relationships? I personally don't have anything against it,unless the person you were in the open relationship with wanted something more serious.
If you won a million dollars in a lottery, what would you do with it? No idea!
Do you have any enemies? How do you handle them? Nope, I don't.
Do you ever feel the need to have total privacy? If yes, when? Well, I like privacy most of the time but it depends who I am around and stuff like that.
Do you have a deep, dark secret? Who doesn't?
What is one habit of yours that no one knows about? I am actually really clumsy and I can be quite slow at some times, I am also quite messy when I want to be.
Are you in debt? What teenager isn't?
 What is your idea of an ideal mate? I don't know, someone who gets me and understands my sarcasm 
 Are you interested in a commitment? At the moment? Not too much.
 Do you have any health issues? Yeap. Have all my life.
What makes him/her angry and how does he/she deal with his/her anger? I am so confused by this question but if this means me it takes heaps to get me angry.
What are things you like to do alone? Read, relax etc.
If you have to change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My awkwardness and slight shyness.
How long have you been speed dating? When did I start?
What according to you is your most treasured possession? I have no idea. I really couldn't decide.
Which is the best book you have read so far? I've read too many good books to decide
Are you a gaming freak? In some aspects yes. I have played some games that I become really hooked to and then all I do is want to play (The Last Of Us is that game atm)
If one song were to describe your life, what song would it be? "Can't Hug Every Cat"
Are you good at imitating others? Nope.

Life Story Questions!

Ok so hi guys! I promised an update so here I am. I am doing the 50 Best Life Story Questions, as my previous tags have become quite popular. I hope everyone enjoys them!

1. If you could do one thing over in your life, what would it be? I don't know, I know this may sound strange but I regret leaving dancing. It took up my whole childhood and then I stopped it seemed like I lost all I had earned.
2. What makes  you happy? So much makes me happy, mostly its when I make other people happy, smile or laugh it makes me feel really good!
3. Looking back on your life, what do you regret? Heaps. Sometimes I wish I hadn't done some of the things I did before High school, I got into the wrong crowd etc and I do regret it and I also lost a lot of friends from it.
4. What do you believe to be true? Um,I'm not really sure. To me like I said before I believe that self happiness does come from group happiness and other people.
5. What is the secret to a happy life? Just thinking of everything as a positive, I am a huge optimist and so I just think through everything as a positive and try and get into the best situations for myself
6. What do you believe happens to us after we die? Ok I am not sure at all, there are so many things that could happen and deciding between them is just impossible.
7. Who’s had the greatest influence on your life and why? I don't know, I've had huge influence from my parents, my grandmothers and even my siblings. they always support me and ask what I want rather than what they want, which is really cool 'cause I get the freedom and ability to be me.
8. What are the qualities that you admire in your friends? Honestly, all my friends are so amazing in such different like we are so different but so alike at the same time and all of them are just awesome to be around!
9. What is the hardest thing you’ve ever had to do? Accept myself as who I am, like I said before and at the beginning of high school I heavily doubted who I was and tried to act more as people would like to see me rather than how I see myself.
10. How would you describe yourself? I don't know, I am always a happy person and I am always tired :L I love making people laugh and smile. But I am both really independent but love being around people 
11. If you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?  I don't know. Like I could never decide. Gandhi or Buddha would have been amazing people to meet (I'm Buddhist btw) 
12. What’s important in your life? So much. My family, friends,my self happiness, my morals
13. If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it? Shop, get some tats, donate heaps to the Auckland Hospice, those guys are just brilliant and everyone there is just amazing!
14. What’s a secret ambition of yours? I really want to write and publish a book.
15. Who in your life would you like to thank and for what? So many. My friends, for just accepting me and being so amazing, I love all of you! My mum, shes been our rock for the past year and has taken up the single parent role so well. My grandma for being so strong at the loss of her son  and always protecting and supporting us. So many people!
16. What principles have guided your life? Be happy. Smile. Think positive. Don't judge too much and to really stay strong and believe in myself.
17. Where do you find serenity? In happiness but I love yoga and meditating. 
18. What makes you sad? Hate. Especially homophobes, racists, bullies!
19. What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your life? To stay positive and that everything occurs for some reason, which is so true.
20. How would you like to be remembered? I don't know, obviously people will remember me differently but I want to be remembered in a nice way, thats actually such a difficult question
21. If you had only one day to live, how would you live it? No idea. I would just try and do as much as I could in that day. Spend it with the people I loved the most.
22. How would you describe your spiritual beliefs? I am Buddhist and try to live in a calm and happy, healthy lifestyle. 
23. Who is the most important person in your life today and why? There isn't one person but I would really have to be the most important to myself, as I try and create myself into a neutral being that everyone will get along with in some way
24. What was the worst job you ever had and why was it so bad? Haven't had one.
25. What’s your idea of a good time? I don't know. I have heaps of explainations.
26. What’s wrong with the world? Loads.
27. What’s one big question you’d like answered? I don't know, it would be way too difficult to decide becausw there is so much I would like to know and see.
28. What is it that you absolutely couldn’t live without? My family and friends.
29. How would you describe yourself as a child? Quiet and quite hidden, I liked being alone.
30. What’s the greatest gift you could give to someone you love? I don't know, what kind of gift? The cliche gift of love should be enough
31. What does love mean to you? Someone who accepts you for who you are and what you are and even though you may or may not fall out of it they will always recognise those attributes
32. What was the best job you ever had and why was it the best? Haven't had one.
33. If you had to evacuate your home immediately and could take only one thing, what would it be and why? I don't know. My computer or hard drive because they have everything, like photos and things on them.
34. What do you still want to accomplish? To lose more weight, pass level 2 etc.
35. What’s right with the world? Heaps!
36. What’s one thing you’d like to change about yourself? My awkwardness.
37. How would you describe your perfect day? Perfect....
38. What event in your life would you like to live over and why? My dads battle with cancer, just so I could be more prepared and know what I could do to cherish the moments I regret not cherishing now.
39. What are you avoiding? Failure!
40. What are your best qualities? I am happy, I would like to think I have a decent sense of humour, I am friendly etc.
41. What’s the most romantic thing you’ve done for someone? I don't know.
42. Who are your heroes and why? I don't really have heroes but I love people like Nelson Mandela,Martin Luther King etc. people who had such low expectations in society but then make such a huge impact in the world.
43. What are your failings? I personally don't want to go into it.
44. What’s the kindest thing you’ve done for someone? I couldn't decide, now I try and do a deed of the day, so I aim to do one good thing a day. (Today I gave my friend lunch because she forgot it)
45. What is more important to you,  challenge or comfort and why?  I like a bit of both, at times I love a good challenge but I feel that in things I'm not good at I tend not to push myself.
46. How is your home like you? I actually don't know. That's a weird comparison.
47. If your life were a motion picture, what would the title be? I haven't ever put any consideration into it. Um... 'The Turning Tale of Moya Baker'....IDK
48. Who in your life would you like to forgive and  for what? I don't know, I live by trying to forgive and forget.
49. What are the advantages of getting older? You can do so much more! Also you can experience and learn to experience how to live differently to how I can now.
50. What would you place in a time capsule that would tell a relative 1oo years from now who you were? A letter, a photo album, a couple of my sketch books and then just some of my favourite things
